Service & Warranty for BlackRapid

WHAT TO DO WHEN SERVICE IS NEEDED ON YOUR BLACKRAPID PRODUCTS IN CANADA

 Step 1:  Package the product and relevant accessories carefully, using ample padding materials and a sturdy mailing container to prevent damage in transit.

 Step 2:  Include in package:

  1. Complete name, return address and daytime telephone number (fax number and e-mail address optional).
  2. Detailed description of the problem.
  3. Where practical, a sample evidencing the problem.
  4. For warranty repairs, a copy of the dated sales slip of original purchase.

 Step 3: Customer pays shipping to Gentec International and we cover the return shipping for all in warranty repairs.

If there is a cost associated with your repair, you should receive an estimate from our service team within 2-3 business days of its arrival at Gentec. If your product is covered under a warranty repair, your item will be repaired and sent back to you.

If the repair is covered under warranty, return shipping to the customer will be covered by Gentec International. If the item is not covered under warranty, the customer will be responsible for all return shipping fees, whether or not the repair estimate is approved.

Gentec Service Department’s hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Limited WarrantyThis limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser.

Warranty Duration
1 Year

Warranty Description
GENTEC INTERNATIONAL warrants this product and its parts against defects in materials or workmanship for (1) one year from the original ship date. If this product proves defective in either material or workmanship during this period, GENTEC INTERNATIONAL will repair or replace defective parts at GENTEC INTERNATIONAL’s option, without charge to you. The warranty is extended to customers and applies to products purchased and used for the purpose for which such equipment was originally designed.

If the product is no longer available and cannot be repaired effectively or replaced with an identical model, GENTEC INTERNATIONAL at its sole option may replace the unit with a current model of equal or greater value.

To obtain a repair or replacement under the terms of this warranty, please return to dealer first, if possible, and the dealer will direct you accordingly for repairs or replacement.
You will be required to submit a copy of the original receipt.
Return shipping charges for exchanges/repairs is the sole responsibility of the original retail purchaser.

Warranty Conditions
The above Limited Warranty is subject to the following conditions:

  1. This warranty extends only to products distributed and/or sold by GENTEC INTERNATIONAL. It is effective only if the products are purchased in Canada.
  2. This warranty covers only normal use of the product. GENTEC INTERNATIONAL shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from (i) misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation; (ii) service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized GENTEC INTERNATIONAL representative; (iii) damages incurred through irresponsible use, or other non-recommended practices; (iv) impact, water, sand; (v) normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage.
  3. The warranty is valid only for products imported and sold by Gentec International through its Canadian authorized dealers.

Proof of Purchase

  1. Purchaser must retain bill of sale or other proof of purchase to receive warranty service.
  2. No warranty extension will be granted for any replacement part(s) furnished to the purchaser in fulfillment of this warranty.

 

Warranty Limitations & Exclusions
GENTEC INTERNATIONAL does not warrant or guarantee, and is not responsible for:

  1. Defects, failures, damages or performance limitations caused in whole or in part by customer’s abuse, mishandling, misuse, negligence, improper storage, servicing or operation, or unauthorized attempts to repair or alter the equipment in any way.
  2. Alterations and/or Modifications to any part of the product, without GENTEC INTERNATIONAL written authorization unconditionally VOIDS the GENTEC INTERNATIONAL Standard Warranty.
